Mastering the Basics of Hawkes
This training covers the entire courseware and lasts approximately 60 minutes. Topics covered include an introduction to setting up your Grade Book, exploring the student courseware and a brief overview of WebTests.
Student Courseware
This training explores the student courseware and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Topics covered include account creation and a look at Hawkes lessons, WebTests and student-created practice tests.
Grade Book 101
This training covers creating and setting up new courses in the online Grade Book and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Topics include setting up new class sections, assigning homework, providing credit for assignments, editing WebTest settings and utilizing key reports.
Building Assignments
This training explores how to create online and paper assignments and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Topics covered include creating assignments, customizing assignment settings, setting up assignment prerequisites and utilizing diagnostic testing.
Customizing Your Curriculum
This training addresses the many curriculum options available to you as well as how to edit Hawkes lessons. This training lasts approximately 20 minutes, and topics covered include Flexmastery, establishing the Mastery % for lesson certifications, and customizing lessons in your curriculum.
Learning Management System Synchronization
This training covers the Hawkes Synchronization Tool and how to use it to link your students and sync your assignments and grades from the Hawkes Grade Book to your school's Learning Management System. This training lasts approximately 20 minutes and also addresses how students use the Single Sign-On link to log in to their Hawkes accounts via the Learning Management System.
Note: Hawkes currently integrates with the following Learning Management Systems: Canvas, Blackboard and Brightspace/D2L.
Custom Session
This training will cover anything the instructor specifically notes in the available text box. These trainings can range in time length depending on the area(s) addressed.
